Upon entering this atmospheric thatched-roof villa in Brabant, you feel as if you've stepped into another world. Architect Stan van Houtum and interior designer Hans Kuijten have created an environment that feels like a warm embrace. Coming home has never felt so good!

When the clients purchased this villa, located in a green area, it was in a dilapidated state. To transform it into their dream home, they enlisted the expertise of Stan van Houtum and Hans Kuijten. During an earlier meeting, they were very charmed by the warm signature and personality of the designers; Stan van Houtum, who guarantees the translation of all personal wishes, and Hans Kuijten, who has made a name for himself in the entertainment, hospitality, and interior design world with his unique designs. The creative vision formed the guiding principle throughout the design process. This resulted in the realization of a warm family home with a wonderful sense of comfort.

In the interior, natural, rich materials and calm tones predominate. This has created a warm, serene living experience. The chosen main materials, including wood, natural stone, steel, and leather, combined with black accents, are repeated in every room, creating a harmonious unity.

The high-quality appearance of the interior is partly due to the extensive custom-made elements. For example, all fixed furniture elements, including the built-in wardrobes, the kitchen, the bed frames, and even the doors, were custom-designed by the interior designer. The further you look, the more details you see. The built-in wardrobe in the living room, the fireplace surround, and the kitchen island, for example, feature wooden cladding with a structure of varying depths. In the walk-in closet, the wardrobe is refined with a beautiful, milled pattern, giving the element an oriental touch. On the ground floor, the clients can enjoy a spacious living room, a playroom/office space, and a fantastic kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floors are designed to evoke the feeling of a chic hotel.

In good weather, the clients can relax in a luxurious pool house. The inviting decor, combined with the stylish, Mediterranean garden and large swimming pool, immediately transports you to sunny Ibiza.

To reinforce the sense of unity, the look and feel of the architecture was also incorporated into the design plan. Details such as lighting and furnishings, including loose furniture and decorations, have been carefully designed. This has created a fantastic overall experience where you immediately feel at home!
