At De Vermaekerij in Maasbree, food and fun come together. Check out the photos below to get an idea of this large, new restaurant with plenty of indoor entertainment.
De Vermaekerij: 'entertainment with taste'
In 2020, four entrepreneurs (Rudy Gommans, Frank van Meegen, Willie Martens, and John Theeuwen) took over a restaurant in Maasbree, Limburg. They recently transformed this large establishment into De Vermaekerij (The Entertainment). The name says it all: it's a place where "entertainment" combined with "taste" plays a major role.
Bowling alleys and escape rooms
Fun and food, then. Besides a restaurant, bar, and terrace, De Vermaekerij boasts eight bowling lanes, two indoor pétanque courts, three shuffleboard courts, vintage Nozembikes, and virtual reality escape rooms.
Streetlife with a homely feeling
Designer Hans Kuijten explains: "The entire building has been stripped back and completely modernized. The interior, with its extensive graffiti, steel, glass, concrete floors, and rugged materials like wood and sheet metal, is inspired by the street life vibe. To maintain a warm and homey feel, we used a variety of fabrics and leathers. The bright red stools create a pleasant contrast with the rest of the building. De Vermaekerij is ready for a vibrant future!"
