Top designer Hans Kuijten subjected his own home to a thorough metamorphosis, creating an atmosphere that perfectly suits him and his family. Warm, comfortable, luxurious, and homely. A beautiful home to enjoy with family and friends. "We already enjoyed living here, but with the new interior, everything has become even more beautiful and pleasant. No, we're definitely not moving from here anytime soon," says the owner of Studio Hans Kuijten.
For years, Hans and his team designed the most beautiful interiors for homes and commercial projects in a building next to his house. The growth of Studio Hans Kuijten led Hans to look for a new place where he could combine living and working. However, things turned out differently, as Hans found the perfect workspace in the heart of Nuenen. "And so we were able to continue living in what is, for us, the most beautiful spot in the village," says Hans. The interior was completely renovated from top to bottom, and the garden also received a significant upgrade. Light sand and wood tones, atmospheric wall finishes – both with special plasterwork and wallpaper – and stylish window coverings combine to create an attractive look.
ROBUUST AND WARM
At the front of the house, the richly furnished living room exudes comfort and luxury. The sofa invites the whole family to enjoy a good film or series, and the spacious custom-made cabinet is a paragon of class. This unique design object, a real eye-catcher, incorporates multiple functions and materials. In the adjacent dining room, Hans and his team combined beautiful wallpaper with atmospheric lighting and furniture from his own STRONG ONE collection. The custom-designed kitchen has a robust and warm appearance, with the mosaic back wall adding extra flair to the design.
NATURAL MATERIALS
On the first floor and in the attic, Studio Hans Kuijten, together with the specialists he frequently collaborates with, created a rich and comfortable atmosphere. The main eye-catcher is the bathroom on the first floor, where atmospheric, natural materials blend together in a serene way. "The interior truly feels like a warm blanket," says Hans, who also mentions that the family enjoys spending time under the covered patio in the garden. "The skylight and the heating elements create an extra sense of ambiance and atmosphere, allowing us as a family to enjoy eating outside even during the colder months."
